Paint code for the plastic on a W126?

The plastic on my W126 was painted before, a slightly different shade of gray. Anyone know were I can get a paint code for the original shade? Also is it supposed to be more flat or shiney?

The Codes given at the paintscratch.com for that 126 chassis were confirmed independently for my vehicle. The Mercedes color for that particular lower panel is "Sato Grau" (none of us could figure out the meaning of SATO) Nevertheless, the color code is 7738 for sato grau. Phil at Fast Lane can't provide even a touch-up pen since the shipment of paint isn't allowed. I guess the dealer is the only source for the lower panel colors.

Thanks, when I do get it painted I want it to be done in the proper factory color and texture.

I'll need to pick the old timers at the dealers brains a bit. Or find a W126 that has the original paint.

This thread just helped me figure out what color I need for my W126! My lower trim is Satograu as well. Mine is in great shape, it just has a couple scratches.

I believe the bumpers/plastic trims are supposed to be a matte Grey. A friend had the dealer install new bumpers on her W126, and the color was matte, but a bit reflective from certain angles.

I suppose I MUST go to the dealer to get the proper paint?
