welding up Bullet holes

Ok we some times have to deal with these and I find the best way is to first cut an X in the stretched part of the hole and then hold a concave dolly on the outside and gently tapp the cuts-stretched hole back to zero and a lot of the gaps caused by your cutoff wheel will close up almost all the way. then break out the ole Lincoln 110 and stitch back -being careful not to build up heat-especially when you get to the center and have to fill the actual hole with weld. let 'er cool and grind it down. the last step is the most important--- apply some filler---I like to mix good bondo 50/50 with evercoat metalglaze once thats busted down with the bondobuster giver a shott of primer---- This will keep from drawing too much attention and keep your get away driver from looking too conspicuous waiting outside for you when your pulling your next job. Good luck, keep your powder dry! panZZer

Skim coat. They only make a small dent. Steel shot or lead?
