Questions about W210 dash wrapping process.

The Dashboard in my S210 2000 E320 has a few cracks. The crack around airbag is pretty big. I tried to fix it couple of years ago, but unfortunately it appears again and also new cracks appear (around vent holes).

I would like to wrap the dash with Alcantara©. Only one big question: how do I have to implement the airbag insert?
I’m going to sew parts with 2.5mm stitch (silk threads). I’ve seen those stitches on leather dashboard in new GL-450 and I’m guessing that it will be Ok for airbag releasing process.
What are you thinking about it?
Unfortunately I couldn’t find examples with 210 upholstered dashboard picture. If someone has it then could you please let me know where can I see it?
