1994 E320 windshield weather strip question

windshield weather strip W124
Just replaced the blower motor regulator and put everything back together. when putting the wiper assembly back on, it appears that there should be a rubber weather strip along the edge of the windshield ( to divert water ) under the rubber that's attached to the wiper rubber that goes from one side of the windshield to the other.. it's not on my car!
Can anyone confirm that there is indeed another strip that attaches directly to the windshield? It appears that water would leak under the rubber extending from the wiper and run into areas it shouldn't. Thank you for any help.
Cheers

The 94 and 95 124 bodys seem to have a much different type of lower windshield seal than the 93's. The 93's are a much better set up, but neither one makes a watertight seal. Any water that gets past the lower seal will not do any harm.

Question 1994 E320 windshield weather strip question

E320A

Looks like your question was not answered, and I now have the same problem: I removed the wiper assembly together with the big rubber seal that goes all the way along the lower front windshield. This big rubber seal has a lip that must be inserted into a strip that is attached directly to the windshield glass. I believe this was the weather strip you were looking for information. This "strip" seems to be made out of aluminum and has a cross section with two "U" profiles: one to attach it (pressed) directly along the windshield glass edge, and a second U profile that faces up, and where the lip of the big rubber seal is inserted.

Did you or does anyone else in the Forum knows the part number for this "strip". Mine is in pieces and I need to replace it.

Ended up having the windscreen replaced due to a stone throwing truck! Sorry did not get the part number but the installer did put the parts on as you discribed.
