small dent repair
I have read on some other sites the use of using dry ice on dents and then using a hair dryer to pop the dent.Some say its a joke don't waste your time and some claim that it does work.Has anyone ever tryed this

I have actually made it work. It was a lot slower than I thought it would be.

The physics of it makes sense. But here's a solution that really does work, and it's fast and generally fairly inexpensive. PDR--paintless dent removal. Had it done on my 23-year old and the results are amazing. Very quick procedure, too.

That thread does make sense. When I pulled that off, it did take a long time. A lot of heat, then a lot of cold.
Don't worry about cracking the finish if it is OEM. You should have seen some of the thermocycling tests I had to pass. The cold cycle always included dry ice. If it is thick with refinish, it could crack the topcoat.
