w123 roof rack
I discovered to my disbelief that it is very easy to remove the roof rack on a w123 wagon without major surgery. Simply drop the headliner at the back doors to access the bolts for the middle set of flanges. Peel back where the two gray foam pieces meet and you should see two holes in the metal sunroof frame. Poke through the foam to access the bolts. Be careful NOT to remove the o rings. For the front two flanges, drop the headliner that contains the mirror (you have to remove the mirror). For the back two flanges, drop the speaker area headliner to access those bolts. Good luck

Good to know! Excessive snowload brought down the temp garage I had my TD in, broke the driver's side forward rack mount (and my antenna). Maybe I don't have to live with the stainless hose clamp repair.
