Glove box inside latch question
I have just rebuilt my glove box which has been broken and not in place for quite a long time, (w123 1984 300d).
On the inside of the glove box itself up on top is the black metal piece held by two screws, it is the part that the glove box clips onto to retain it closed, i have the piece and the screws but theres nothing in the holes, is there a set of plugs there, can i just use washers and nuts? |

one of the W123 persons will chime in shortly
I'm sure.
BUT if you've got Screws/Bolts (Screws with: inset hex, outside hex,Etc.,Etc.) That previously secured the latch plate,THEN there's SOMETHING to screw them into... You may be mm s or inches "OFF" the proper "Recievers" for the S/B s. and It MAY SEEM that there's no orifice for them. BUT,They were there when the chassis left Deutschland. (And still are.) You've just got to look around.

I made my own piece out of sheet metal, drilled them in and voila!
