Front driver side fender for W124 300e 2.8

Quick question:

Does anyone know how much I should expect to pay to repair or replace a front driver side fender (black)? My neighbor accidentally scraped mine, denting it a little and cracking the paint.

Thanks for any info you can share.

I cannot drive the vehicle to get an estimate from a shop. That's why I'm asking.

Umm

This field is variable by shop.

Unfortunately my answer will not be very helpful.

$1,300.00 USD - $7,000.00 USD, depending upon replacing the bumper, matching the fender and/or repainting the whole car.

thanks anyway

Hi whunter,

Thanks for the reply. Since it's an old vehicle and has a fairly worn exterior, it would be nice to repaint whole thing, but a matched fender would do just fine. Not too worried about the bumper.

If I were to find a used fender somewhere, is this a DIY job, or does it require taking half the vehicle apart to weld the new fender in place?

Thanks very much,

Casey

The front fender is bolted on = simple basic DIY.
FYI: In Detroit Metro, repainting a fender off the car is usually $100 -$200 USD.

The cost becomes silly variable if the shop must remove/install..
