w124 Hood Hinge Replacement - Need Instructions

Hello community! I have a 92 300d (w124). While driving, the hood opened up against the windshield because it had been left unlocked and poorly hooked. The damage is done and basically it is the hinges. They got bent and torn at the location where the pins to keep it vertical are. Since the hood itself suffered no damage I want to replace the hinges but it seems that at two locations they have riveted ends rather than a bolt. Does anybody have experience with this or know if I drill those rivets and replace with bolts it will hold fine? If someone knows a proven procedure that could share with me to do the replacement I would be very thankful.
Thanks

I had the same problem with a W201 a 190 They look like rivets but they are bolts with nuts to remove the nuts you need to remove the fenders to access the nuts I think the W124 is the same way as the W201 I’ll check my W124 to make sure is the same procedure
