Unhappy Uh oh...rust on 240D got me worried!!!

Someone just mentioned structural rust problems on w123, how do I know if I have got these issues? Can they be fixed? There is a rust spot under the carpet on the drivers side, front wheel wells have some holes, and the metal rail/jactpoints(?) tips right behind the front wheel wells are kinda deteriorating...the car looks beautiful (repainted)...but now I am all worried about it being safe!!! Anybody wanna come look at it?
