Really dumb leaks!!!
Ok. Ever since the new windshield gasket and unplugging drains, every floorpan has been bone dry. Even when they were dry, the driver's floor pan was NEVER wet. Now, every other floorpan in the car is dry, except the drivers floorpan is SOPPPING wet. It's amazing how wet it is. Umm...all drains are plugged, new windshield gasket never leaked, and it's only this side...any ideas? Plug in rocker panel fell out, or anything? It's really weird, not even on carpeting. Never would've noticed unless I picked up carpeting to see SOPPING overcoating and the layer of wax they put over the metal beaded up an loose. I don't know what to do. Maybe some rust inside the hood area??

Kyle,
I don't think that much water would come up through the drains in the floorboards but I may be wrong. I habitually check my 300D for moisture, at least once a week and especially after it rains as I want to be sure I catch any leakage very soon after it occurs. Mind you I don't have any leaks right now but considering leak-prone these cars are it seems the smart thing to do. My windshield gasket is cracked/dryrotted and its not leaking yet but it probably will eventually. Pull the carpets and dry everything out really well. Remove the kickpanel, etc. and then lie upside down in the footwell with a flashlight while someone hoses down the car. If the leak is that bad you will find it pretty easily. Chances are you missed a drain or a previous repair let go again. Good luck, RT
