W123 Body work Question

83 300CD. Under the front bumper there a length of sheet metal going from fender to fender. Mine's sort of rotted out. Is this a piece that can be bought or should I try to repair the thing. It doesn't appear to be structural and repair would be wire wheel it, rust bullet paint it, fiberglass patch it then some paint. BUT if this can just be cut or unbolted and a new one put in, I'd rather do that.

Thanks Much.

I think you're talking about the lower valence. This is very inexpensive and at the same time, quite difficult to straighten. It's been a long time since I bought one, but it seems like it was about $12.

Good luck,
