We have always had our Mercedes serviced by him, no matter where he was. When he worked at Beverly Hills Mercedes, our cars went to him there. When he worked at The dealer in encino, our cars went there, when he opened his shop, our cars went there.

..... I know because My father had his car at the dealer and they could not figure out the problem. The dealer took the car to enrique and he had it fixed within a couple of hours.

Read the thread about MR MB Motors in this forum (do a search). If that doesn't convince you to at least give him a try, then good luck with whoever you find. Enrique's not hurting for clients, he won't miss the income.

BTW, there are no sides to take. There are a lot of people who've taken their cars to Enrique and are very happy. There's one troll who says he has but doesn't know Enrique's shop rate and won't identify what work was done, or what went wrong with it. Again, if that dissuades you from trying Enrique, there are dozens if not hundreds of MB indies in SoCal. You'll find someone to work on your car.

Good MB Shops

I've dealt with German Auto Center in San Diego, and find them to be honest, reliable and thorough. They've taken care of my '84 turbodiesel since I bought it in '89. The phone number is 619-222-6711 and the shop is located at 1800 Rosecrans Street in Point Loma.

Hi Boardmonger,

I spoke to Steve @ Silver Star Auto and he sounded like he knows what he is doing.. he quoted me $85 to change my '96 C280 Transmission Fluids. and Cupertino Mercedes Service - Roy quoted my for $185.

I also live in Cupertino. That's why I call Cupertino Mercedes Service, But for $100 different. I think there must be something missing...

How was the work done at Silver Star Auto ?

Thank you
Cupertino

Hey,
I went to Enriqe once and he is a very nice guy. However, he could not diagnose my problem after about 40 minutes of looking at the car. He charged me $40 and told me to bring it back later, but that he could not see me for A week, and my car had a stalling problem. He is a gentleman however, unlike most other mechanics. Maybe the outstanding service comes after u build a repoire by going there a few times. My first impression on proficiency would be a B.

I think you have to go to a dealer to get warranty work done.

Where in Central L.A. are you?

Yes, I am looking for a good dealer to get warranty work done. Most convient near La Cienega and Olympic in L.A. (but will drive a little distance to get better service on the vehical). Name of a service advisor would be helpful.

thanks in advance

I'm not familiar enough with the area to give you a recommendation, but if you put your zip code in the attached url, it will tell you which dealer is closest.

Also, one of the Moderators of this forum, Ashman, has a brother who works at a local dealer. Try PM'ing him.

Have you tried Downtown L.A. Motors, near USC?
