Oops! Scratch that last.

Re-read your post. You said "crescent", not open-end wrench. Carry on your good work!

I'm happy to chip in. Pass along the payment details when available (and thanks for arranging this and doing the work...)

I forget what they are called. I meant the one that is round on one end, and open on the other.

ohh, also you are right about 13mm being common. should I go for the 17mm or the 13 mm? I didn;t want something tiny.

or I could go with another tool. let me know.

I'll see Snap On Guy wednesday.

Chris of Capital City European is excellent, he works on both my mercedes and is always accurate in his diagnosis' and honest about the work that is needed, not to mention fairly priced. John, owner of Silver Star Motors is also very good, knows his mercedes', off of Fair Oaks and California in Carmichael.

My Mechanic

I go to an excellent mechanic here in the Citrus Heights and Orangevale area. He takes care of the fleet, and he is fairly reasonable. Great knowledgeable man, who ONLY works on mercedes. Ernie's Independent MBZ repair. I will only trust him now. He does great service, and he is amazing at his work. Give him a buzz: (916) 989-4973. Address: 6326 Main Ave. #14. Orangevale, CA, 95662. I will only trust him because of the ongoing saga with my 400e. IT was in the shop at least once a month at my old mechnic, and now it is hardly ever in the shop.

Have a buddy who has used Stephens Service center for years... have heard nothing but good about that shop!

I use European Sports Car Garage, on 16th & T. sts in midtown, its just a stones throw away from the Fair Oaks area, well, a little further, but I STRONGLY reccomend this shop. My family has been using him for years since moving to the area. Paul Lausevic JR is the owner, and has never failed to impress me... ive never had 1 problem with any of his work. He is almost intolerably honest, and has excellent diagnostic skills...
Its a family run shop, been in business since the 60's, and has that old school european shop feel-

Rates are good, and you get high quality work.
Make sure you call beforehand- Shop is almost always BUSY. I dont think ive ever been to a shop with so much traffic in the parking lot! LOL

Should you, or anybody else choose to try European Sports Car Garage, Inc. out, heres the contact info:

Paul Lausevic @ European Sports Car Garage works on our cars-

He rebuilt the tranny on the C280 about a year ago now, havent had any problems with it since!

Hes HONEST about what your car needs, what it'll cost, and does high-quality work.

Give him a ring, maybe he can help you out!

Sacramento Repair shops

Thanks for another good lead. I need Motor mounts, and my drivers door lock sticks, can only open using passenger side. My first day off I will try one of the above. Stephens is great but to far from me. Tom is wonderful too.
For me the closer the better.
Thanks again

I have a rather older 280SL that I am restoring and need to fine a resonable Mercedes-Benz mechanic who nows the ins and outs of a W113. Can any one referr me to such a person in Los angeles who is honest and were my car will not be used as a pick a part for other cars?

Body Shop in Los Angeles Area (USC area)

My daughter wrecked my 1995 E320 MB. Needs a hood, grill and a headlight. Can anybody recommend a good body shop for these repairs? I have my own paint (just had the car painted a couple of months ago) and need someone who will work with me.
