Bruce Strauss/OC

I'm going to repost this since it looks like it might have been misplaced in the forum rearranging....

My son has need of a tech in the Irvine/Orange County area. Can anyone tell me if Bruce Strauss Autocare in Irvine, close to John Wayne, is still a good shop - has ownership changed, quality of care changed, etc.? It is very convenient to him.

Are there other shops close by UCI which are worth giving a try?

Thanks.

I was very happy with my experience at Bruce Strauss, I was visiting a friend in Huntington Beach, when my starter failed. Within 2 days, they had my car repaired and back on the road. They offered a courtesy shuttle service, and were very very friendly. This was 2 and a half years ago.

What happenned to Bruce Strauss Autocare?

I have been very happy with Bruce Stauss Autocare! I had an issue with my AC on my 300e. I had talked to a german mechanic about it last year. As usual he was very sharp. I went back only to find that it is now Bells Strauss. It didn't seem like there was any german mechanics to be found anywhere. The outcome on my AC was not satisfactory.

Does anyone know if Bruce Strauss sold the business? Does he have another one? Can anyone recommend a similiar shop in the OC coastal area? Huntington or Newport Beach preferrably.

Thanks!

Sold to one or some of the mechanics, I understand. Some of the old guys are still there. Some new. Seems like the same busy place. If you are unhappy, go back and ask for it to be right.

Bruce is off riding his bicycles.....
