Need MB diesel rebuild in San Diego

Anyone know of a good mechanic or shop in the San Diego or Southern California area for an engine rebuild of my 1981 300 D?

Email us at: noel@noels.com or call toll free at: 800-SEE-NOEL (800-733-6635)

I have been searching for this data for months...
Thank you Phil at FastLane for the contact information.

Noel's doesn't do overhauls of the 617 or 616 or any engines older than the 603.

A 1960 300d is far older..

What can it hurt to call and ask?

Worst case, drop a used engine in.

Roy, I had already called him regarding info on the head for the 617.

The response was "We don't work on engines that old".

That's why I posted the info.;)

If Tarzana isnt too far away for you, id reccomend them... seems that Mr. MB Motors is THE place to go for work. There are a few threads on the shopforum about this ship.. with nothing but positive notes. I believe he works on older cars too.
