Unhappy I need an Expert Diesel Mechanic in Los Angels

I have a 1999 w210 that is in serious need of an expert. I have another long thread on here explaining the problem. To make it short, a Mechanic pulled out my IP and now can't get it lined back up. The car smoke and clanks and is undriveable. He has called all his MB mechanic friends, including the repair foreman @ MB Beverly Hills. None of them will even accept the job. I am ready to pay dealer prices, but they don't want my money ( and rumor has it the my local MB dealer is horrible).

The car has been down for almost 3 weeks now and my Mech says he is at a stand still. He does not know how to get it re-aligned, and doesn't know anyone who can.

This is CRAZY - I live in LOS ANGELES californa, there has to be someone within 30-40 min of me that knows diesel MB inside out.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh - Please help. I am desperate to get my car back.

If you're on the westside and near Santa Monica, Europa Motors on 14th Street is awesome.

Any dealer or good Indy should be able to take care of your problem for you.

If using an Indy, you need to ascertain that they have the equimpment and understanding to work on the newer diesels and not just the 80's models. The 606 and its computer controls is flat out beyond many indies. A good indy will tell you they dont have the computers and tools to be able to work on it. If they hedge go elsewhere.

When you find teh right guy you need to explain your pump was pulled without having the engine and valve train first set at their referenece timing and that when the pump was reinstalled that it also slipped a gear or two (or 10) and that the pump was then further adjusted to try to bring it into time. Its way out of time. With the correct data, it should be a fairly simple matter to pull the pump, reset the engine adn valve train to their initial reference timing, then set the pump to its reference timing and reinstall it and fine tune it from there.

What you require is ALL of the references that your Audi mech didnt have when he did the job originally. A dealer or good technical Indie will have that info. This is no different than installing a pump on a rebuild when the engine is guaranteed to be off its reference timing.

You claimed it ran fine before the pump was pulled so the likelyhood is it will run fine again when installed correctly as long as damage is not being done to valves/pistons in the mean time with people who dont know what they are doing farting around with it.
