What do I need to know about buying a W126 in CA (I'm in NYC)?
I've had the bug for awhile to get another W126 and thinking about finding one in California and leaving it at my folks place in Ojai (I live in NYC) at least for a little while 'til I can road trip back with my dad. What is the process of buying from a private seller in CA and leaving it in CA at a different address than my primary address (NYC)? It sounds like the title gets signed by both parties, a smog check certificate of some kind is required, and then you register at the DMV. What am I missing? Is there anything I should watch out for or remember to do? Thanks.

Just need the title and a smog to buy/sell a car.
