BEnz Shop in Tustin (So. Cal.) or nearby area
Howdy all. In my quest to find a replacement for my much beloved (and much missed) 300CE I came across a possible replacement in the Tustin area.
I want to have a PPI done but Enrique is too far for the owner to drive. So I need to find a reliable indy in the area. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I know there is a shop near Tustin very close to John Wayne airport. They are a frequent advertiser in The Star Magazine.
Give me a few minutes while I check the archives. BTW, sorry I missed you at Enriques last Saturday. We should still get together some time for lunch or something. What are you looking at now, another 300CE?

John Elliot (JCE) highly recommends the following shop in San Juan Capistrano. He took my old 1993 300E (3.2) there to have it checked out before he bought it from me for his son. It's just down the 5 freeway another 15 minutes from Tustin:
camino import auto service near San Juan Capistrano, CA 32861 Camino Capistrano # 2, San Juan Cpstrno, 92675 (949) 661-3522 Travel south on I-5 past the Ortega Hiway off ramp to the next off ramp "Camino Capistrano/San Juan Creek road". Left (south)on Camino Cap as if you heading to the Honda dealership. Take the first right before you get to the Honda entrance in the driveway where the car wash is being rebuilt. A group of businesses share the north side of the building between the car wash and the Honda dealership: "Beveled Edge" stained glass is at the front, "Brothers Toyota/Honda repair" in the middle, and "Camino Imports" is back towards the Amtrack tracks.

I also found this recommendation in the Good Shops forum:

Prestige Imports, Santa Ana
Prior owner of my car, lived in Rancho Santa Margarita, and had his business in Tustin, and took his car to Prestige Imports, 1446 So. Ritchey, off the I 55 in Santa Ana, which is easy to find, even for an auslander like me.
I found them because they had stamped the service book a few times, and I went there to talk to them, and had them work on my car. They are very very good. The know the 560SEC and SEL VERY well, even the very obscure particulartities that these cars have. They even provided me copies of the all the records on my car from the previous owner. The clincher was a 560SEC that was completely stripped to the bare shell for rebuilding the had in the back of the shop.
