Exclusive Motors . . . sad news . . .
Pat Petrovic, chief tech at Exclusive Motors was fatally injured yesterday (11/29/08) when his motorcycle swerved to avoid hitting a truck. He and his wife, Beth, were thrown from the cycle and sustained serious back and shoulder injuries.
Pat was thrown down a ravine and hit his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene. However a paramedic succeeded in reviving him after about 1 hour. He was air-lifted to the local hospital where he was placed on life support. He was found to be brain dead because he had been oxygen deprived for too long. His life support was removed today, 11/30/08. Services are noted in post #3 from Natalie. If you miss this or want updated info, please check this link: http://www.k6jrf.com/EXM_new.html Pat was not only a good friend and a better person. He always had time for everybody. . . I will miss you very much . . . . there's a big hole in my heart! Last edited by JimF; 12-02-2008 at 09:10 PM. |

yes a sad day
Jim F,
I also agree when i went to drop off my '96 e320 (having misfires) today the shop had an erie feeling and was closed at 8:15am my father (ride to work) said this isnt like Pat. I talked to the guys at Miramar Cooling (next door) and they said they didn't know what was up because he's always here at 6/7am working on cars. I had a chill on my back and proceeded to Bob @ B & M because we felt Pat was ill or on vacation. Then about 12:45pm I had miramar cooling drop off the radiator we were having built and they told me the bad news. I was in shock and stunned at the same point knowing their was a loss in the community as my father and I had used Pat's services in the past to help us out and he was so honest and kind. My prayers are with his wife and family. Best, Carlo Rubio |

a very sad day indeed
On behalf of the family I thank you for your prayers and support. The general outpouring of support and love has been immense. We are truly beyond grief and still quite stricken with it all. It seems surreal to believe that we will never see our Pat again. I thought I'd at least post the information I have regarding services for anyone wanting to pay their last respects. The viewing will be Mon 12/08/08 between 4 and 8 p.m. at Alheiser Comer Mortuary in Escondido. The funeral services will be at the same place Tuesday 12/09/08 between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. with interment services at Oak Hill Cemetary in Escondido. Please pass this along to anyone you know that might want this information as we cannot even scratch the surface of all of Pat's friends and aquaintances.
Thanks again, Natalie |

I'm so sorry to hear this. Pat worked on my 300D when things got over my head (which doesn't take much). He always made time for me, and I have recommended him to others. I lost my Father last year. My thoughts are with his friends and family.

According to Pat's nephew, and my "eyes", there were around 600 people at the services.
So many, that they overflowed into the front foyer and parking lot. Lots of very sad people. Tnx for posting. |
