Im always buying more parts so whatever you might need just let me know. Any cool meets in the arizona areas coming up?

Cool to have another 300CD owner in the state and on this site. Not many of these cars around anymore it seems.

I had to look up your location. Bullhead City is about as far away from here as you can get, and still be in the same state, LOL

But you are welcome to stop by if you're in the neighborhood.

Greater Phoenix area, I just picked up a 1991 350SD. Mercedes #20 for me and all of them were used. I'm looking for a set of stock 15" wheels that are in good enough shape to be restored. Please let me know if you have any, even singles. Thanks.

Question any Arizona meet & greets planned?

Now that the weather has cooled off, are there any meet & greets planned for the Arizona folks? It would be fun to have a meet up for lunch & to just make connections with other forum members. Anyone got any ideas or suggestions?

I'm in the Northwest part of the valley, between Surprise and Wickenburg. Perhaps we could arrange a meeting somewhere North of Phoenix off of I-17?

Me and 2 other friends with w123 are located in Laughlin, Vegas and Golden Valley. We are going to do a meet soon. We are quite a ways from phoenix but if anyone is interested in joining feel free to message me. The last meet was in Oatman Arizona at an Old mining town that still operates and has a few bars, donkeys and cowboy show.

If you want to go as far as Oatman, Arizona then we can set something up. We could even do Lake Havasu or Parker? i believe that is much closer. Either way the distance from me in Laughlin to Phoenix is quite far for our cars lol

I'd be interested. I'm pretty sure my car will make it without giving me trouble. Do you have a date in mind yet?

"Either way the distance from me in Laughlin to Phoenix is quite far for our cars lol "

Oatman is cool but Parker is a bigger town with more to offer in places to eat, gt fuel and so on....

Hi all, I live in Marana, AZ and have a s500. Been a great car until the ignition locked up. Got a new steering lock, ignition switch and the car won't start. The dealer won't help and the local locksmith won't help either.

But I still love the car!

Howdy folks.

New to Mercedes and new to this forum. I just picked up what I think is a pretty solid 83 240D last week. I’m hoping to do some of work to get it fully functional myself, but there’s stuff that I either can’t or don’t want to do as well. I am not doing very well finding a shop in the Phoenix area (ideally the Southeast Valley - Chandler, Gilbert, maybe Mesa). I think many of the issues of my car related to the vacuum systems, I’m guessing that’s a specialty area. I already called a shop recommended on social media and they said they don’t really work on Mercedes that old…

Thanks, Doug

Thumbs up WELCOME NEWBIE !

Doug ;

These are close to 40 year old cars and the number of people who have proper training is dwindling rapidly .

However, here you will find many good, honest and helpful people who have trod the very same ground you're just beginning on and they're almost all willing to share their collective knowledge .

I'm an old Journeyman Mechanic and they've helped me so many ways .

ASKING PEOPLE who you see driving or selling these old cars is a good way to not only find that elusive good Indie shop but also, WHOM TO AVOID as that's often much more important .

If you're handy with tools and ever had an old VW or tinkered with lawnmowers, you'll proly be able to do most of the up fixing your ownself .
