Looking for a shop with experience on W123 diesels, Central Coast, Ca.
Anybody know of a technician or shop with experience on the vacuum problems of a 123 car?
It would be good to find an old mechanic that knows these cars in the Paso Robles, or San Luis Obispo area. I have an '81 300TD and an '84 300TD.. Thanks everybody. Ron |

You might want to check with Nohr's Auto Haus in Buellton. Located at 141 E. Highway 246, Buellton, phone (805)!688-7153. While a drive from SLO/Paso Robles, this husband and wife team of Rich and Mary Nohr really know their classic Mercedes business. Both Rich and Mary have been very active in rhe Central Coast Section of the Mercedes Benz Club of America and both have written articles for the club magazine, The Star. If you are a do it yourselfer there are some good vacuum diagrams posted in this forum. The only tools you need are a Mityvac hand operated vacuum pump with gauge and a set of wooden golf tees used to plug off vacuum lines when testing. You might also want to keep handy some spare vacuum tubing (available on Ebay) as the tubing gets brittle in our old cars.
