Vancouver shop problem

I paid a local repair shop over $8000.00 to install a new transfer case just over a year ago. Since then I cannot afford to go back to the same shop (obviously). My mechanic at another shop today told me that I do not have a new transfer case, just one from a local wrecker.... and it is not working properly. He suggests I go back and demand what i paid for and ask for my old transfer case back. I feel like I need a good plan before I begin something like this. Does anyone have any advice for me? TIA

Trouble

Will your Mechanic friend provide you WRITTEN assessment of YOUR 8K T'Case
as "ReCycled Junk"?
1.Whatever the Royal Court System has that's the equivalent to Superior Court
in the U.S.
2.Hire a few local "Bail/Bondsmen" (The Modern Equivalent of Robin Hoods) to
go over to the Scheißen Sie Kopf's shop and "Discuss" the problem with him on your behalf.

I am going to get a written assessment of my transfer case, at a Mercedes shop and then go from there. I fear going back to the original shop b/c I feel screwed and I fear getting the old slimy handshake again. I will get my ducks in a row and then proceed. Stay tuned...

No, I never got it sorted. Shop owner changed his tune, said he did the work as stated on invoice - he was deliberately vague. I asked for some information on who did the rebuild of my transfer case (since on the second visit he admitted that it was not a Mercedes rebuild which he sold me on) and he was not interested in responding. I also asked for the serial numbers of the remanned transfer case and the new 4matic valve so I could check them with what was in my car but to no avail. They are not a member of BBB. I found that out when I filed a complaint with them. The BBB says MB Euromotors, 344 W7th, has the second lowest BBB rating possible D-.
