Greater Toronto Area

Does anyone know if there is an expert in servicing a 1970 280S in the Greater Toronto Area?

Try McNally Auto on Toro which is off Keele street, north of Sheppard. Tell Charlie that Rajesh sent you. He is probably the best in the GTA. Stay away from Forli motors

Can I ask why stay away from Forli motors?

I am actually looking to buy a 1990s C230 but I need a good HONEST mechanic to inspect it before I buy and take care of it from there onwards. Any suggestions for someone in Toronto?

The best mechanic I have ever encountered is located in Scarborough.

His name is Haji, and he runs a small shop called Stuttgart Auto. He is semi-retired, but used to work for Mercedes Benz for 35 years. He's got a tiny shop with room for 2 cars, and it's full of thousands of parts for nearly every model from the W115, W123, W124, W126, W140, W201, & W202 series (just about anything from the 70's to the late 90's).

The last time I spoke with him, he had about 10 different cars on the lot that he was in the process of selling, as well as another 10 stored at his home. His prices are very good, I should have bought my car from him, and my dad almost bought a '94 S 420, with 230,000 km, for $4200 from him.

His rate is $60/hr, which is great for someone who knows old Benz's in and out. He does excellent work on my 240D, and usually knows the problem without me having to come it (which is helpful, as I am a 90 min drive away from his shop). Knowing that I am a student, he usually shows me what to do, so I can do it myself and save some money.

This guy is fantastic, I highly recommend him to anyone who's looking to buy, sell, or service their Benz.
His number is 416-834-8675
His shop is located at 3220 Kingston Rd.
