Shop for partial restoration Southern Ontario

Looking for recommendations on a shop that I can take a survivor W108 to for some body and mechanical work. Needs to do quality work on a pre-agreed price without surprises or cut corners. Speed of work is not critical.

I am in Toronto but willing to drive anywhere in southern Ontario.

McNally Auto is a good mercedes mechanic shop in Toronto. The owner will work on older mercedes and owns some himself. McNally Auto Service - Home

Rates are over $100 an hour.

I do my own work for the most part.

Body by Biggs near Coldwater, On.
See their website. Great attention to detail.

What mechanical work are you looking for?

McNally is good, but expensive. They're not on my shortlist for the time being.

@andydiesel:

Car sat for many years, and is in great overall condition. Drives, but needs a general refresh. Fuel system and lines need cleaning, carb rebuilt, engine and transmission resealed. Same for the rear axle.

Body is solid. Undercoating has fallen off and surface rust is present in the rear section, but no structural rust (according to McNally and another shop).

I'd like to drop the drive line out, refresh the leaky and worn bits and re-coat the bottom side. Flexible on what engine/transmission combo goes back in (if it's cheaper to swap for a better condition engine rather than work on the existing one).

Have you worked with Biggs before? How are their prices?
