Here is a super quick and easy replacement. If you have a cracked rubber boot on your W124 power antenna. Removal is no harder than squeezing your old cracked boot and then getting your finger up below it (between the base of the boot and the body of the car) and forcing it up.
The boot has a ridge on the inside that runs around its entire circumference that holds it in place - friction fit, so once you exert enough force it will pop-out very easily.
Installation is just the opposite. No tools needed - whatsoever, does not get easier than this gang!
The old cracked boot, just popped out, ntoce the inner ridge:
