Scott! 140 Question
Hey Scott,
I just bought a 1992 w140 300sd and was looking into buying a alpine CHA-S634 what adapters would i need to make this work and do you sell them? is this just a plug into the reciever in the trunk installation or do i have to run a wire to the front? I searched the forums but just got confused thanks for all your help bob |

92 radio
If you have the normal 92 install it is a little complicated. The portion in your dash in addition to the cassette, is the control for the trunk mounted tuner which sits at the base of the drivers rear wheel. The antenna goes to that, and is controlled by the front unit, there is a din cable that goes to the front. There are also two audio outputs that go to a (7) channel amp that sits on top of the rear wheel. The amp drives (11) speakers in the system, and dont forget the fader in the console.
