1989 300E aftermarket receiver not operating the antenna
 

I have a 1989 300E. I installed a aftermarket JVC KD-SH99 receiver about two years ago. Since I installed the receiver the antenna has not worked, it has not bothered me till lately. I always listen to CDs in the the receiver, the 12 disc changer or my mp3 player connected to the receiver. I now have a need to listen to the radio. With the original receiver when the car ingnition started the antenna raised now it does not. How can this problem be corrected. Thanks for all help in advance.

Since no one has responded, I'll attempt an approach. Does your car have an antenna switch on the dash? If so, three of the pins on the antenna go to it. There should be 2 others at the antenna, 1 ground and 1 switched 12V. The JVC should have a blue or blue/white antenna 'trigger' lead. That should go to 1 of the pins on the switch, the other 3 on the switch go to the antenna. Maybe you can figure out which wire this is from the old radio.
