Becker radio
This relates back to my original problem of replacing the light for the various switches in my 1983 300SD. Can anyone show a picture of the removal tools to get the original Becker radio out or explain how to get it out without the removal tools. If I can see the tools I might be able to make a set. I am also looking for a used switch assembly for the passanger side seat. I figure it would be better to rebuild one and then replace the one in the car instead of having the car torn up for a day since I don't have a garage to work in at this time.

A search for the terms radio removal returned 15 threads in the diesel forum. There is also an audio forum.

I use straightened big paper clips.

I removed the ash tray, reached one hand in behind the radio, pulled down the two tabs on the bottom, and pulled it out. That was it.... for the new stereo I positioned it in the hole....and SHOVED it in No mounting items necessary.
