6 1/2" - Will they fit without cutting?
 

I'm changing the rear speakers on my 88 300SE before tackling the receiver. I got to my factory speakers easy enough but they are mounted on a plastic spacer that slightly aims them forward. Several people said I can fit standard 6 1/2 ones in their place. But can this be done without cutting? If I have to cut, I'd rather leave the stock speakers and put 6x9s in the utility and first aid boxes. My first choice is to go with larger speakers that will fit in the stock rear holes. So, will the 6 1/2s fit without cutting any metal?
