Cellphone antenna

I am switching from my GSM phone to CDMA phone in the car. It already had the Cingular GSM carkit installed. The Motorola carkit works with both except the cradle. I am wonder if I swtich to CDMA, do I need a CDMA antenna or they're both use the same? Thanks in advanced.

Hi,

What year is your car? I'm switching the other way, going from CDMA to GSM. The cradle, PSE and antenna are different. Let me know if you need the CDMA components. I was planning on Ebaying them anyway.

Really? the carkit was installed by Cingular for GSM phone. But when the V600 cradle was broken, I disconnected the cable to use it. The only thing I lost was the antenna feature. And just for fun, I pluged in the V710 from Verizon and it works as well. Now I got a cradle for the V710 and installed it and it has been working just like the V600 did. But I just wonder if the antenna needed to be changed to CDMA one or they make no difference.
