I don't get it. normally german components are better and command high prices. but I got the crutchfield catalogue and replacement speakers from blaupunkt are lower than any other brand. are they just in low demand or are they stinky?
for my 380sl I was looking for 3 1/2 or 4" dash speakers and 6x9's for the rear shelf. total cost at crutchfiel is $90. in comparison, boston accoustic or infinity kappas would be around $250 for same speaker sizes.

Unfortunately Blaupunkt has taken the low road in recent years...There was a time they were near the top of the heap but towards the end of the 80's they started chinching up their products and started having reliability problems...Now all they have to go on is the name as with a lot of other electronics products...For example Dual car stereo....They made their name in turntables and now some idiots took the name and market all kinds of crap under a former good name....Too bad...
