I have a 300D with a Becker Gran Prix radio. AM works fine but, I cannot pick up fm stations. Any Antenna works. Any ideas what might be causing this?

The FM section in the radio has gone on vacation and won't be back...Unfortunately you need repair or a new unit..AM working means the antenna is OK....Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

I was afraid that would be it. Ramblin, is the removal and installation of another radio that difficult? I am mechanically inclined. And, what kind of unit would be a good choice? I really don't want to spend an arm and a leg. And, I do not want to make any changes in the speaker locations.

There are many good units out there (Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer) but depending on what year 300D you have the fader will have to be eliminated due to common grounding issues with the new radio..If you look at other threads you will notice this is a commonly discussed issue. The dash mount is a standard din which most aftermarket radios are...
