Radio removal

I had originally posted this question on the radio forum, but didn't get an answer. So I'll post it here.
I'm trying to remove my Becker from my '85 300D. I removed the face plate around the climate control, and the plastic plate behind it. I was wondering, what is necessary to remove the stereo?
My stereo is not able to pick up FM and I wanted to check to see if the antenna is connected. The po replaced the original with a refurbished unit. I have the original unit that the po said works perfectly but has some damaged diodes. So any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Charlie

Remove the ash tray, by removing the ash container part then the two screws under it, pull the assembly out. On the underside of the radio there are two tabs that click in to hold it in place, pull those down, and slide it forward and it will come right out. I can't remember if the tabs are at the front or back of the underside of the radio, but I know they are there . it helps to reach all the way in and put your hand on the back of the radio to push it out, thats what I ended up doing as it can be a little bit stuck in there.

On some Becker radios, there are two screws beneath the face plate. Pull the radio knobs off, then pry off the face plate. Loosen screws, pull radio out, then disconnect cables at rear. Disconnect the battery first.

Thanks, I was unsure about just how to go about it. I removed the ashtray and I saw the two screws. I'll remove and see if I can get FM reception. Thanks again.
