Question Ideas on an above average system for an 88 260E?

So far this is what I'm set on.

I'm not sure if I can cut out the back deck and fit in the 6x9's or if I need to get speaker boxes to keep on top of the deck. I haven't picked the car up yet so I'm not sure if the first-aid kit will be in the way of the back right speaker. Also does anyone know if my car has the gas tank behind the seat or did Mercedes change the design by 1988? I know I have a 240d 1983 and it has the tank behind the seat. I know a pretty good bit on car audio, however, not that much when it comes to subwoofers. When people talk about porting the sub through the first-aid kit, they are talking about the box port or the actual speaker dome? If it is in fact the box port are they extending the port by directly piping the box port into a hole drilled in the bottom of the kit? If I get lucky and don't have the gas tank behind the seat then I guess I'll cut out the vinyl behind the armrest and replace it with speaker fabric it seems a lot easier. Anyone who can make my decision a little easier is greatly appricated. And sorry if what I wrote was confusing it's the easiest way I can describe what I don't yet have!

Thanks!

Chris

I've been hearing a lot of good thing about MB Quart Speakers. Would a entry to mid level (reference or diskus series) be better then a pair of near top of the line Pioneer speakers? I find that they are pretty close in price range.
