I recently had a new Kenwood Cd player installed in my '84 500SEL. Well, it took a big crap on me and I won't be driving it for awhile (at least 6 months). I also have a '85 300D and it has the original Becker radio installed. I would like to take out the Kenwood from the '84 and install it in the 300D. Is it a pretty straight forward changeout or do I have to get a different adapter so it will fit in the 300D?

It should "fit" the same, but as to the wiring, that depends upon whether or not you want to return the 300D to the way it was when you get your 500SEL back.

You should read either a thread called: "car audio wiring harness in 94 E320" or "Becker Grand Prix speaker/wiring adapters?".

They both have the same info posted by me today about adapters.

Sorry, but three posts of the same information on the same forum in one day is beyond the limits of reason....
