91 300E speaker replacement
Hi everyone,
This is for the W124. Time to upgrade the rear speakers. Looked for some prior posts on this, but the threads that came up were a few years old... Purchased a 5.25" Focal woofer and tweeter set, and planned on installing them in the back, replacing the rear speakers. But now I am reading that the woofer and tweeters should be placed in the front section of the car (like the door) for optimal sound. How critical is this? One step at a time. If this install goes well, am going to add the subwoofers...thanks for any input.

I'm going to test it first....
before I drill any holes
Am going to place the components (temporarily with double sided tape) in various places and see what sounds the best....
