1984 300SD stereo upgrade
Here's the deal guys, i own a 84 300SD, u just put in a new Alpine HU. it soundds great. i just ordered the amp that will power my single !2" sub. I know most of you will tell me to route the power cable through the existing grommets. i am going to do that. just curious, is there any other holes (without drilling of course)?
second question, which is more important, if there is anyone who has already installed an amp in your trunk, where exactly did you guys put it? and how? also where did you place your ground wire from the amp? |

hey I have an 82 300SD, the gromet right next to the battery is the most convient way to run the wire. Then under the passenger seat (carpet) and up throu the back seat and into the trunk. I have 2 - 12" Infinity subs, currnelty powered by a Rockford Fosgate 301m amp, which is being replaced by a Power Acoutik TS1440 amp. I grounded my amp to the panel between the gas tank and the trunk. There is also a groun on the sides of the trunk where MB has grounded the other stuff.
