Audio10 swappable c-class to e-class???

HI, is it possible to put an audio10 cd headunit from a c-class(2004) into a 1999 e220? My head unit is faulty and I can purchase a audio10 unit from a c-class. The bezal is slightly different, can this be swapped?

TIA Spud007

It will connect electrically, but It wont sit flush in the dash. The 99 cars had a standard iso din slot, the w203 has a bit of a curved edge, and is a bit bigger than din. Thats why it requires a mounting kit to put in an aftermarket radio.

Take care,

George

Never thought about it, but I really doubt it, considering the shape of the buttons is different, and how would you make the CD slot work.

There is an audio 10 Din sized in dash CD that will fit your car, but its pricey, and imho, kind of pointless, considering you can get a tons better aftermarket unit for less. Do you have the trunk mounted cd changer?, if it is fiber optic this unit will control it. Personally I would sell the changer on ebay if I had it and go aftermarket, but if you are intent on keeping it factory, here you go.

Here is one on ebay

Take care,

George
