Installation of Sub in 300E

I want to install a 10" sub in the trunk of my 1992 300E. However, in this car I am not sure how to run the wiring. Does anyone who has done this have any advice on how to best wire the sub up? I still have the factory Becker tape player head unit, so should I hook up the wires from the amp that I got for the sub to where the door speakers are wired to? When I still had my 240D, I ran a power cable from the battery through the wire ducts in the floor to the trunk and amp. Should I do the same here in this car?

Thanks a lot for the help.

If you are into lots of work (removing seats, carpet, drilling holes etc) its a DIY weekend project, gsxr has some pics of a 124 chassis with power wiring:

I'm sure the 240D project was far easier, the 124 has power seats (heavy and PITA) and the firewall is way different and finding a thru-hole is not as easy but I think behind the battery is where I would go.
Making a sub box fit the rear deck is another story, when I figure that out I'll post pictures. Too many projects right now!

PS Do you like the Becker tape unit?? (I hate the OE radios!) Make mine Pioneer anytime, Alpine second choice

Thank you so much for your help. Because I have nothing else to do this weekend I think I will give the sub a try.
On another note, I like the Becker tape unit as I can easily use it with my IPod. I bought one of the adapter tapes at Radioshack and this way I can just plug it into the IPod and then play it with the tape. Other than that I like the deck a lot.

no wonder

no wonder I paid so much to have mine installed!
I (sorta) feel better knowing the work involved...

good luck!
