Angry 6 Pack problems

I have recently purchased a MB 6 pack CD player for my 2001 SLK 230. I took a read on the sight and understand that they should be plug and play. My dash deck does not recognize that there is a CD player installed in the trunk even after pluging it in... Even after disconnecting the batterty and entering the Radio Code. What am I doing wrong? Help me.. I live in Northern Saskatchewan... there is'nt even an F.M. station to listen to..

Changer Question

Hi Richard Line,
Try unplugging the 3 pin plug from the changer. Make sure the key is NOT in the car and that the radio is off. Then plug the 3 pin back in and press the eject button on the changer even without a cartridge (you need to cycle it internally). Then turn on the radio and go to CD and it should work unless there is a real problem with the changer. Let me know how it goes.

Still no luck.. Is ther any other ideas out there! It is a 3hour drive to the MB Dealer each way. P.S. Which one of the other 90degree fiber optic harness should be plugged into the cd changer (1 Fibre optic contact or 2?) One of them is presumably for the phone that I don't have in the car.

What is the model # of the changer?

I'm thinking there should be 1 twin cable for power - terminating at tiny
male fitting, and a fiber/orange twin cable terminating at thumb size male
fitting for fiber optic socket in your changer.
