Hi.
I have a 95 280C. It has a stock radio with 4 buttons on the right...(clockwise from top right) AM/FM, Weather, Tape, and CD. It has 6 presets...
From my description, does anyone have an idea of what Kind of radio this is?

Thanks

Sounds like a Becker 1492

Does it look like this one?

or a Becker 1692

Just noticed that the 1492 and 1692 look the same.

Did you get a radio booklet with the vehicle? I'm still pretty sure that what you have is the 1492, as the 1692 did not come out until 96 or 97.

Here is the booklet for the 1492:

and the 1692

Also, I'm told that becker and alpine made radios for Mercedes and they look identical.

Difference....

I'm told that the difference was soley cosmetic. One had more rounded buttons than the other.
