Alpine CHM-S601 to Mercedes 93 300D

Would someone help me...I am so lost that I dont know whether to wind my butt or scratch my watch...

I have a 1993 300D 2.5L L-5. I also have an Alpine CD compact disc changer CHM-S601. Can someone tell me where I can find an interface for this setup between my OEM Becker cassette tape and the Alpine CD Unit...I know how to install this setup if I can find the proper interface...Thanks so much..Iceman

There are three interfaces as I understand.

I have found the first two at some online stores. I asked the local benz dealer for the one you have to get from the Mercedes and they quoted me $325 which threw me for quite a loop.

There are three cables. You may already have one of them if your car came with a factory

the one below connects the DIN and power from the Amp in the trunk.
If your car had an OEM setup before it is already installed

This cable is the alpine adapter
http://www.discountave.net/mbpiemebetoa1.html

This adapter translates the becker commands to alpine commands
Q6 82-0135 - stealer quoted me over $300.00 for this part

These three cables should enable you to use an alpine cd player with your becker head. I have never done this but after reading several different sources online this is the conclusion I have come to. I should have picked up the becker head with cd changer and cables that was for sale earlier in the week

Talking

You are welcome. I am looking to do the same thing if I can find the third piece or a collection of parts for a reasonable price.
