hello everyone...

Quick question: I just came accross a Mercedes CD changer out of a 97 ML320. I have a 92 400E with the becker 1432 system, that didnt come with the CD changer. I know the CD changer was an option for this car. I need to know 2 things. Is the car already wired to accept the cd changer, in other words, are the wires for the cd changer already in the trunk of my car? And the second question, will the CD changer I have out of th 97 ML320 work in my car? (Is it just plug in or what?) If not, anybody know how I can make it work???

THanks alot everyone.....Peter

I can't answer your question, but I do have a CD Changer from a 1993 400E that I took out when I installed the In-Dash this fall. I would consider selling it.

try this

I just put an alpine 620 six cd changer with the "m-bus" in my 94 E420.

In your trunk, on the passenger side, behind the trunk wall (which btw is lifted out after getting the battery cover off..the wall is held in place by a replaceable 2 piece rivet...(ask me how I know this..) there is a small 10 pin connector..mine was in a bundle with some other wires. This B the prewired connector from the !@#$% factory Becker "radio". You need an interface connector cable to go from this to the Alpine "m-bus" jack on the changer.

I got the cable and the changer from SoundDomain.com.

$229 for the changer, $32 for the cable. the changer might be had for cheaper on "ebay" etc. I don't like "ebay". YMMV.

I also don't like the Becker/factory amps/speakers..but I am keeping this setup until the MP3 head units become more readilly available this year..maybe next.

This is easy to do, and while a stop gap..it works as well as any 1994 technology; it's just there have been big improvements since then.

The ML CD changer do not work on the Becker radio, I think the Amp is build in with the radio. Buy the changer from Johnp352, be sure it come with cables and converter.
