Becker Radio Gremlins
My original 190E radio is a Becker. The radio now clicks on/off while driving or after I remove the key triggering the antenna up and down unless I set the antenna selector to off. When the radio comes on, the panel display is lit but no audio or channel.
I don't think this is a wire short since this will happen when the car is just sitting without the key in or in motion. Is this a sign the radio is going? Annoying problem since it drained my battery. |

Beckers have always been notoriously flawed..... they usually arent worht repairing, and you are better off buying a replacement aftermarked head unit. However, there are Becker authorized repair facilities out there. Google Becker, and youll find what you need.
check out www.paloaltospeedo.com, i believe they repair Becker head units still.
