Will this radio work in a '95 S-class?

I want to replace the aftermarket stereo in the grey market S280 I bought with a stock M-B unit and at $50 to $75 they are pretty cheap on Ebay. Will either of these work if I get the code?

The bottom one would work for sure. I don't know about the top one, being that it is one of the newer fiber-optic units.

The bottom one should be a direct fit (if the installer that did the on the aftermarket unit you carry right now did not made a mess!).

The top one should work too, I have a friend with a 1995 S 320 L with the the exact same unit installed.

how bout for a '92 300CE?

Would the bottom style work in my '92 300CE? I figure I have to get some kind of adapter harness of some sort at a minimum, but what happens to the fader switch I have on the console?
TIA,
Dan

I have a 97 s320 and i upgraded from the bottom unit shown to a newer audio 10 cd player. I can't hook up a cd changer now because the newer unit is fiberoptic and my car is prewired for regular wire. Works fine though, plugged right in.
