head unit question

i have an aftermarket head unit in my car.. dont know what brand as the faceplate was stolen when the p/o had it and other stuff.. but how hard is it to get the head unit out so i can change it and wire the speakers to it leaving the stock fader out and wiring up the power antena...

i have a 85 w123 300D

normally, not difficult. each manuf has their own design for release of the
chassis so you may want to contact the manuf or store which installed the
unit.

all you need is two butterknives. slide them in the sides of the deck and pull.
