Working on a 82 SD. THe original top mast piece with the cord attached is gone. I have the motor on the bench with the cover off. My Question is which mast do I order. Smooth or toothed cord ?. How can you tell by looking at the gear mechanism. Thanks Mike

Mike, I got a new Hirschmann mast and motor for under 50 shipped. I know that is not your question, just an FYI on relative cost.

The original OEM antenna is the longer, toothed mast.
The shorter one is for aftermarket antennas.
