W140 Bose radio volume control.
I have a '95 W140 with the Bose radio. Sometimes when turning the knob to increase or decrease the volume, nothing happens or it works in reverse -- like if you want to lower the volume it gets louder. When this happens, it seems to work best if the knob is turned slowly. My question is; how is the volume controlled? Is it a resistor type with contacts that may be somewhat corroded or is it electronic? How can it be fixed? Is there any repair shops that work on this type of radio? Thanks!
