W210 Tweeter Installation

I bought a set of Alpine componenet speakers for the front doors of my 96 E300 SPS 1171A I think is the part number. Anyway the woofer installation went well and they sound great. I have not been able figure out the tweeter mounting in the door and still be able to install the top part of the door panel. Anyone have any advice? When I purchased these I really only needed the woofer but I have wanted to slowly upgrade the speakers. Any help is appreciated.

You might want to consider mounting the tweeters in the kick panels angled forward if possible...It will provide a better sound stage than if you put them in the doors. Just a suggestion

I heard (and noticed to my tastes) its best if tweeter are near or at ear lever so the sail panels on the doors where stock tweeters usually go would be the best position...or anywhere in that area.

After thinking aqbout it I installed them in the area Marko spoke of. I managed to get a sheet metal screw inthe rear mounting of the tweeter and then screw it to the door panal. It sounds great!!
